Teen pop star Justin Bieber is jumping into a new industry – he has agreed to set his life played out on screen as a TV comedy.
The ABC network is reportedly developing the program that will focus on a “future pop star’s unconventional upbringing and awkward adolescence.” It will also show Bieber’s background before he hit the big time.
TV Guide magazine reports that the show was proposed in 2011, but has only turned into a full comedy project this year. Justin and his manager Scooter Braun will take on executive producer duties for the new show.
The untitled family show is expected to start productions next year.
Bieber was discovered in 2008 by Braun, who came across Bieber’s videos on YouTube.
