Hugh Jackman was honored his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Joined by his wife wife Deborrah-Lee Furness and children, Ava (7) and Oscar Jackman (12), his Les Miserables co-stars Anne Hathaway and Amanda Seyfried, Hugh Jackman received the 2,487th star in the famous landmark Thursday. His star is located at 6931 Hollywood Blvd., in front of Madame Tussauds Hollywood.
Jay Leno was there to introduce Hugh Jackman. Leno, on whose show the actor had made his first American TV appearance, gushed over Jackman. “I don’t believe wealth and fame changes anybody, I think it just exaggerates who you already are. And I think all your wealth and success and fame and all these things have just made you more of the better person you are.”
The actor, who had just received a Golden Globe nod for his work on ‘Les Miserables’, admitted he felt a bit overwhelmed, but happy. He said, “It’s kind of a surreal day. I’ll probably always remember Thursday, Dec. 13 and I think I’m either going straight from here to buy a lottery ticket or to a casino because it just feels like someone is looking down on me in a very nice way at this moment.”
