Kirstie Alley: “John Travolta is ‘Not Gay” & “Patrick Swayze & I Fell in Love” in the 80s

Kirstie Alley visited “Good Morning America” Wednesday and talked to Barbara Walters about John Travolta, Patrick Swayze and other men in her life that were included in her new book “The Art of Men.”

Alley revealed that John Travolta is “the greatest love” of her life. She said that she fell in love with Travolta during the filming of “Look Who’s Talking” films, but she was married at that time to actor Parker Stevenson. She adds, “I feel like when you marry someone, you’re supposed to work hard at it and you’re supposed to make it work.”

After revealing her love for Travolta, she then debunked rumors of Travolta being gay, saying “I know John. With all my heart and soul, he’s not gay. I think it’s some weird way, in Hollywood, if someone gets big enough and famous enough, and they’re not out doing drugs and they’re not womanizing, what do you say about them?”

Travolta wasn’t the only one Alley fell in love with on set. Kirstie revealed that Patrick Swayze and her fell in love on the set of their 1985 TV miniseries “North and South,” but they never consummated the relationship.
