Taylor Swift’s “Red” album breaks record

Taylor Swift may not be having luck with her love life, but her career continues to break records. Her “Red” album is reportedly the biggest album in 10 years.
Red, Swift’s 4th studio album, has sold a whopping 1.2 million during its first week on the shelves – a feat last accomplished by Eminem 10 years ago for his 2002 album “The Eminem Show” with 1.32 million copies sold within a week.

Swift tweeted earlier, “They just told me Red sold 1.2 million albums first week. How is this real life?! You are UNREAL. I love you so much. Thanks a million ;)”

Taylor’s second album also reached a million sales in its first week. Although Britney Spears has also achieved this feat with her 2000 album “Oops!…I Did It Again” with 1.32 million copies in a week… Taylor Swift is the only female artist to have two separate albums receive massive sales.
