Liam Neeson has said that he filmed his cameo in The Dark Knight Rises without knowing the film’s plot.
The ‘Taken’ actor reprised his Batman Begins role as Ra’s al Ghul in Christopher Nolan’s third and final Batman instalment, but was not told anything about the script or plot outside of his single scene.
Neeson told MTV, “I went and shot a scene for two hours with Christian Bale. There was a set, and Christian was tied up.”
“I said, ‘Chris, what am I doing?’ [Nolan said,] ‘Um… well, just walk forward, and say the lines, walk back, and that’ll be it, really.’
“I said, ‘What the f**k? Tell me the story!’ [He said,] ‘Um… I’d prefer not to, really’. ‘Okay, don’t mind me – I’m just an actor!'”
