Beyoncé has thanked US First Lady Michelle Obama for being a good role model to young women.
The singer posted a handwritten letter to Obama on her personal website in which she praised the First Lady as “the ultimate example of a truly strong African-American woman”.
“She is a caring mother, she’s a loving wife, while at the same time, she is the FIRST LADY!!!!!,” Beyoncé wrote about Obama. “No matter the pressure, and the stress of being under the microscope – she’s humble, loving and sincere.”
The ‘Love On Top’ singer also said that the First Lady as a role model for her and Jay-Z’s newborn daughterBlue Ivy Carter.
“Michelle, thank you so much for every single thing that u do for us – I am proud to have my daughter grow up in a world where she has people like you to look up to,” she noted.
