It is 100% real. On Tuesday, the “Today” show will be welcoming Sarah Palin as co-host.

The former Alaska governor will be joining Matt Lauer and Ann Curry at the newsdesk as a guest co-host. In a press release from NBC’s website this weekend, Palin’s appearance on the morning talk show promises to “reveal a different side of her than you’ve seen before.”

Palin is not new to TV talk shows. She used to be a political commentary correspondent for Fox News Channel and has hosted her own TV show, “Sarah Palin’s Alaska.”

Ironically, former Today show co-host Katie Couric will also be returning to morning talk shows, but to host Good Morning America with George Stephanopoulos while Robin Roberts is away. Couric had an infamous interview with Palin during her run as Vice Presidential candidate, which is often credited to the downfall of the McCain campaign in 2008.
