Rihanna has been very busy promoting her film “Battleship” and performing her music around the world, but this doesn’t stop her from thinking about making new music. In fact, the songstress has announced that she’s “ready to start work on her next new album.”
Capital FM talked to the 24-year-old Rihanna, who revealed that she already had a “rough idea” for her 7th studio album. She explained, “Right now we’re working on collecting and creating the sound first before we even start working on the lyrical direction or melodies. I kind of have an idea though, and it’s very rough right now.” Rihanna also revealed that she recently met with electronic duo Chase & Status to discuss her upcoming album, so her next album may include house beats.
Her last album “Talk That Talk” was very successful, with its first single “We Found Love” dominating the #1 spot of Billboard Hot 100 for 10 consecutive weeks. Rihanna worked with electronic dance music DJ Calvin Harris.
Aside from her promo tour of the movie “Battleship,” Rihanna is also working on a new fashion-related TV project, which is reportedly about her hunt for a new fashion designer.
