Angelina Jolie will reportedly appear in Ridley Scott’s Gertrude Bell.
The actress is set to star in the biopic, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Described as the female Lawrence of Arabia, Gertrude Bell was a writer, explorer, administrator and archaeologist.
Her involvement in the Middle East in the early 20th century was instrumental in the establishment of its modern framework.
The project is being developed by Scott’s Scott Free Productions.
Gertrude Bell is on the shortlist of three movies – with Gucci and Child 44 – that he is considering directing following his Alien prequel Prometheus.
Jolie’s directorial debut In the Land of Blood and Honey will debut next month.
