Orlando Bloom has claimed that filming The Hobbit has been like “a family reunion”.
The actor, who will reprise his Lord of the Rings character Legolas in Peter Jackson’s two prequels, discussed returning to the fantasy series with Digital Spy.
“It’s great, it’s like going back to a family reunion,” Bloom said, adding that Sir Ian McKellen,Cate Blanchett and Hugo Weaving have all shot their portions of the films.
He added, “I shouldn’t really talk too much about it… I will tell you that it’s a pretty remarkable thing that’s going on down there.”
The Hobbit will be divided into two parts and released as The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey on December 14, 2012, and The Hobbit: There and Back Again on December 13, 2013.
