Elizabeth Hurley will join Gossip Girl for its upcoming fifth season according to reports.The actress will star as media mogul Diana Payne, TVLine reports.
Executive producers Stephanie Savage and Joshua Safran described the character as “a sexy, smart, self-made media mogul and all-around force to be reckoned with”.
They said, “Diana’s entrance on the Upper East Side will change the lives of all our characters – including, and especially, Gossip Girl herself.”
The two also praised the actress and stated that she will “fit perfectly” with the show.
“Elizabeth’s sense of humour, intelligence and beauty fit the GG world perfectly. We feel very fortunate to have her,” the pair added.
Gossip Girl’s fifth season will premiere on The CW on September 26.
