Shia LaBeouf has confessed that he believes that Transformers: Dark of the Moon is the best 3D movie ever made.
The actor said that the third instalment in the Transformers franchise put James Cameron’s Avatar cameras to good use in order to create some of the best 3D scenes ever witnessed.
LaBeouf told the Los Angeles Times, “We took the 3D cameras out of the Avatar stages and put them on the head of a dude jumping out of a plane in Chicago while a building is exploding. For real. Four or five dudes actually.’
He added, “It’s the greatest 3D film ever made. It’s an amalgamation of ideas from Jim Cameron, Steven [Spielberg] and Michael [Bay].”
The 25-year-old LaBeouf continued saying that he considers the last hour of Transformers: Dark of the Moon to be one of the best action sequences ever filmed.
He said, “The last hour of this movie is the greatest action sequence of Mike’s career, which would put it on the same level as the greatest action ever made.”
“You don’t breathe for the last hour.”
