Bono has said that he is pleased with the reworked version of the Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark.
The U2 frontman told The New York Times that he “loved” the production for the first time two weeks ago.
He said, “The first time I loved Spider-Man was two and a half weeks ago.”
“Even when I was really angry about its obtuse story and some of the awful readings of the music – even then I was still saying it was kind of magical.”
The director of the musical show Julie Taymor was replaced by Philip William McKinley and the show closed its doors for several months while the script was reworked.
Bono added, “If we thought it would take this long, there is not a chance on earth we’d have done it.”
