Sofia Coppola and Thomas Mars are reportedly planning to tie the knot in Italy in August.
The 40-year-old screenwriter and director and the 34-year-old singer of the French group Phoenix will wed in the town of Bernalda at a 19th-century villa called Palazzo Margherita, which is being renovated by her father, director Francis Ford Coppola, according to People magazine
The mag also said that the couple met when the rocker recorded a song with the band Air for Coppola’s 1999 film “The Virgin Suicides.”
Mars’ music has also been featured in the soundtracks of some of her other projects, such as the 2010 film “Somewhere” and the 2003 movie “Lost In Translation,” which earned her an Oscar.
The pair have wo daughters, Romy, 4, and Cosima, 1.
Sofia Coppola was previously married to director Spike Jones between 1999 and 2003.
