Aretha Franklin says her health issue “has been resolved” one month after undergoing surgery for a mystery ailment.
The 68-year-old star refused to confirm in an interview with JET that she’s suffering from pancreatic cancer.
She told the magazine, “I am not going to even deal with that.” “I don’t have to talk about my health with anybody other than my doctors. The problem has been resolved.”
Her health problem started after she felt “a very hard pain in my inside.”
One of her doctors asked her for medical tests to find out what was wrong. She explained, “Thank God he said that because that unfolded everything, what the problem was and everything.”
“If there is anything happening with you that is uncommon and something that you know should not be happening, go to your doctor. Be determined to find out what is going on,” Franklin urged.
The singer stated in an interview with JET last December that she felt “great” after the surgery but was facing an eight-week recuperation period.
Franklin had a special message for her fans now that she’s still “feeling great and coming along.”
She said, “I want to thank my fans and friends and supporters who have prayed for me and sent me beautiful cards and flowers. Please continue to respect my privacy as I continue to recover.”
