Amber Portwood Barred From Seeing Two-Year-Old Leah

Amber Portwood has been released from jail after an initial 24 hour holding period on her two counts of felony domestic violence. But that doesn’t mean things are back to normal.

After also being charged with a felony count of neglect of a dependent and a misdemeanor domestic battery charge, the 20-year-old has now been banned from seeing her two-year-old daughter Leah, leading some doubt as to who will be granted custody. Already, the toddler has been named a ward of the state, though she was living with her mother.

Most of the controversy and legal problems are about the fact that the violence, which Amber has pleaded not guilty to, are due to the fact that she was seen on footage from the show hitting Gary Shirley in front of Leah.

What confuses me is how she will manage to get away with a not guilty plea. It was on camera, we have all seen her beating on the man-child who impregnated her. Do you think the claim of MTV paying her to do it will be her defense? If so, I doubt it will work.
