Did Lindsay Lohan quit or was dropped from “Inferno?”

Lindsay Lohan was supposed to play as Linda Lovelace in a biopic called “Inferno,” but recent reports has named the star to replace LiLo for the coveted role.

According to the representative of the “Mean Girls” star, Lohan opted to back out to play a porn role because she is “concentrating on her recovery” and the decision was “mutual.”

A source tells Radar online, “Lindsay has realized that in order to get her life and career back on track, she has to be very selective with her projects. She wants to pursue projects like the ones that made her successful. She also realizes that she doesn’t need to identify with roles that relate to issues she dealt with. Everyone on her treatment team has stressed that,” the source added.

According to reports, Lohan was replaced by  “Watchmen” star Malin Akerman and the director of the movie said the troubled actress was fired.
Matthew Wilder told E!, “We are withdrawing our offer from Lindsay Lohan. Ultimately, the impossibility of insuring her — and some other issues — have made it impossible for us to go forward.”
