The frontman of the band U2,Bono is back! Bono made a successful return on stage last Friday in Turin, Italy. After three months the 50-year-old frontman is back after he was forced to go through emergency back surgery. The band had to put off their North American travel of its worldwide tour after Bono was admitted to the hospital. U2 was one of the main acts at Britain’s Glastonbury festival in June but after the incident, their slot was canceled.
Bono recovered in time to start the ball rolling for the European leg of its 360 Degree Tour in Italy. He thrilled the fans by beginning the set with a stimulating hit song “Beautiful Day.”
The stars also delighted the fans at the Olympic stadium to a preview of two new tracks – “North Star Acoustic” and “Glastonbury”.
He thanked the fans for their support and for the wishes he had collected while recovering. He paid tribute to his bandmates as well and told the crowd, “This band is like a family. It’s a family business, U2. I am the prodigal son. I would like to thank my brothers for their patience.”
