To celebrate their second wedding anniversary, Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon renewed their vows at their Beverly Hills home Friday, April 30. The couple held a small ceremony and reception with family and close friends. The couple told ET “It was a small and intimate gathering at their home.”
The 40-year-old Grammy winner wore a cleavage-baring white dress and veil with a bouquet, while her America’s Got Talent host husband sported a white suit. To seal the wedding renewal? According to People.com, the 29-year-old Cannon surprised his wife with a “diamond-encrusted candy ring pop look-alike made out of white gold and sprinkled with pink sapphires and white diamonds.” The bling was custom-made by Jason of Beverly Hills Jewelers.
On Saturday, Mariah tweeted saying, “So last night’s wedding vow renewal and small party was [so great]. Too many cameras from close and far, but it was beautiful. Nick Cannon is the best.”
The couple first wed in 2008 at Mariah’s Bahamian residence, after dating for only six weeks. Cannon revealed to Us Magazine that it was the third time the couple got married, saying “We get married every year! That’s our thing. If you were married to Mariah Carey, you’d want to marry her every year too! I just have to keep doing it to make sure it’s real.”
