Idol contender Tim Urban rose from zero to hero on this week’s performance, and he owes Adam Lambert for it.
Last season’s runner up, who’s enjoying his career as a total entertainer, was the guest mentor for this week’s elimination on American Idol, which led to the 20-year-old Texan’s first real standout performance for this season.
With his acoustic guitar at hand, Tim gave out a simple yet touching take on Elvis’ “Can’t Help Falling in Love,” which the judges truly fell for.
“I actually liked it,” says Randy, who was surprised with the way he reacted.
“I can’t help falling in love with you, Tim. I thought that was beautiful,” says Ellen.
And what did Simon say?
“You have managed to go from zero to here in two weeks.”
