Charlie Sheen, currently the highest paid actor on primetime TV, will be leaving “Two and a Half Men.”
“Charlie’s just done,” says a reliable source. “And he’s quietly telling his friends he’s not coming back.”
According to insider reports, Sheen was asking for $2 million per episode for the show’s eighth season. Currently paid with $987,000, CBS offered him $1.2 million, to which he refused.
“Two and a Half Men” is the most popular sitcom on television today, with an average of 15.2 million viewers during its seventh season.
The actor’s rep meanwhile says that his contract was “only through this current season.”
