Oprah usually is the one giving surprises to her studio audience, but this time she was given the big surprise-a member of her audience went into labor!

Lori McCrindle suddenly went into premature labor while present on the taping of “The Oprah Winfrey Show.” She was 27 weeks pregnant when her water broke, and because of this Winfrey put the taping on hold to rush her to the hospital.

McCrindle, who hails from Toronto, gave birth to a baby boy named Justin, weighing 2 pounds and 13 ounce, an hour after being admitted.

“He was born about 20 minutes after I saw you,” she said to Winfrey. “You helped me through.”

“After all these years, it is not too often we have a first. But yesterday was a doozy,” says Winfrey.
