Los Angeles- Lawyers in charge of investigating the death of Michael Jackson are planning to file criminal charges against the late singer’s doctor with involuntary manslaughter.
According to Dr. Conrad Murray’s lawyer, Edward Chernoff, his client is willing to surrender himself once needed. They also traveled to Los Angeles from Houston to be present in the proceedings.
“If they tell him to surrender in 10 minutes, he’ll go surrender,” says Chernoff. “He’s never hidden, he’s always been available.”
The late King of Pop hired the doctor to be his personal physician while preparing for his comeback concert in London. On June 25, Jackson suddenly passed away in his rented mansion in Los Angeles, due to acute propofol intoxication. It was Murray who administered the said medication with two other sedatives to help the singer fall asleep.
