Now who says Jersey’s notorious party animals have lost their jobs?
Snooki, J-WOWW, DJ Pauly, The Situation and the rest of the gang will be back for a second season after having signed their contracts with MTV, which became a bit of a headline due to salary negotiations.
“Out audience has fallen in love with ‘Jersey Shore’ and its amazing cast who have really grown together as family,” says Tony DiSanto, MTV’s president of programming. “That bond gives the show its heart, and we’re thrilled to reunite these friends.”
However, the cast won’t be returning to their beach house. Rather, there are plans for the guidos and guidettes to “escape the cold northeast and find themselves in a new destination.”
‘Jersey Shore’ was a wild success during its first season. It grew to become the no. 1 original cable series in January and was able to hit their target demographic: viewers aged 12-34.
