In the light of helping the victims of the Haiti earthquake, stars gather once again to collaborate on yet another special song, the classic charity single “We Are the World.”
Quincy Jones, the man behind the said song, confirmed that the single will make its 2010 re-recording in Los Angeles, just the same time that the record marks its 25th anniversary.
‘It’s perfect timing,” he says. “It’s not an accident, man. That’s God. It will be ‘We Are the World’ for Haiti.”
Recorded back in 1985, the single was sung by a powerhouse cast such as the late Michael Jackson, Bruce Springsteen and Cyndi Lauper, and was used to raise funds to help Africa at the height of its famine problem.
This time, performers such as Miley Cyrus, Will Smith, Sheryl Crow and Jennifer Hudson are being pitched to do the song.
