“Inglourious Basterds” Finds Glory at 2010 SAG Awards

It’s all glory for Quentin Tarantino and Brad Pitt, after their film “Inlgourious Basterds” grabbed two trophies at the 2010 Screen Actors Guild Awards.

The cast of the World War II-inspired film brought home the Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture, while lead star Christopher Waltz walked away with the Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role award.

Fellow “Basterds” star Eli Roth gave his utmost thanks to director Quentin Tarantino for “bringing out the best” in a cast which included Diane Kruger and Brad Pitt, who was absent in the awards show.

Other winners were also those who have previously won in the Golden Globes, such as Alec Baldwin, who bagged an award in the comedy category for his role in “30 Rock,” as well as comedian Tina Fey.

Julianna Margulies, Michael C. Hall, Drew Barrymore and Kevin Bacon, and Mo’Nique also ended victorious at the SAG Awards, for their respective performances in “The Good Wife,” “Dexter,” “Taking Chance,” and “Precious.

Sandra Bullock was the recipient of the Outstanding Performance by an Actress in a Lead Role for “The Blind Side,” while Jeff Bridges won the Outstanding Performance by an Actor in a Lead Role for “Crazy Heart.”
