The 6th Annual Golden Globe Awards took off despite the heavy rain, and among the stars who have already received their statues include John Lithgow, Michael C. Hall and Mo’Nique.
“Thank you God for this amazing ride that you’re allowing me to go on,” says Mo’Nique during her acceptance speech for winning the best supporting actress in a film for her role as an abusive mom in the critically-acclaimed ‘Precious’. “I celebrate this award with everyone who’s ever been touched,” she added.
Actress Toni Collette meanwhile grabbed the best comic actress for ‘United States of Tara’. Hall, the star of the series ‘Dexter,’ won best dramatic TV actor and accepted his award wearing a black cover. He bravely attended the awards show despite having revealed that he is battling Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
Lithgow won the best supporting drama actor also for ‘Dexter.’
