A couple has filed a lawsuit against KISS bassist Gene Simmons, alleging that the performer assaulted them in a mall.
Nathan Marlowe and Cynthia Manzo claim Simmons, who currently stars on his own reality show with his longtime partner Shannon Tweed, went crazy on them when the couple began filming Simmons at a Los Angeles mall last weekend.
The couple claimed the 60-year-old rock icon attacked and threatened them…and even taking their video camera. The couple’s lawyer Matthew Nezhad says a police report was filed.
Nathan Marlowe and Cynthia Manzo even tried to seek a restraining order against Simmons on Wednesday, but that petition was denied. According to the complaint and restraining order application, Marlow asked Simmons for his view on monogamy, but Simmon’s reaction was to tell Marlow to get his shot and leave. When Marlowe didn’t, Simmons allegedly lunged and attacked him, while grabbing the video camera. When the girl tried to get the camera back, Simmons allegedly turned on Manzo as well.
No charges have been filed, but the couple is seeking damages of more than $25,000 US for assault, battery and infliction of emotional distress.
