She’s been the butt of jokes for gaining a few pounds earlier this year, but Jessica Simpson is proving that weight critics won’t bring her down as she prepares to launch a new collection of swimwear, in addition to her ongoing line of shoes, accessories, handbag and luggage.

In an interview with Stylelist.com, the 29-year-old singer discussed her latest venture, this time with bathing suit company Red Carter and her mother Tina. Jessica said of her mom: “My mom is also a huge part of the line. We love working together from inspiration to final product—we touch each and every item.”

Simpson described her new pieces as “fun and flirty.” She also talked about her inspiration for the collection, saying “My spring collection was inspired by my favorite vacations and the jet-setting getaways I dream about.”

Despite a curvy figure, Jessica Simpson remains confident of her looks and gives an advice to everyone about looking good in a bikini. She says, “You have to be comfortable in your own skin because when you feel good about yourself, you are going to look great no matter what you’re wearing. I really think the secret to beauty is confidence. If you are happy and find beauty on the inside, it will surely translate to the outside. And smile!”

The Jessica Simpson for Red Carter collection retails between $40-100 and will be available for purchase at select Macy’s and at jessicasimpsoncollection.com starting December 30.
