Jessica Simpson may seem like she’s unlucky when it comes to love, but the 29-year-old actress/singer may just have landed one of the oddest hook-up rumor ever.

According to reports, Jessica Simpson is dating Smashing Pumpkins’ Billy Corgan. A source even told E! News that Jessica “has fallen hard and is smitten.” That same source also said that 42-year-old Corgan and Simpson are “officially dating.”

When People mag called a rep for Simpson, she would only say she doesn’t comment on her client’s personal life.

The rumors come after the two were photographed in New York Friday.

Jessica Simpson broke up with NFL star Tony Romo in July 2009 after a two-year relationship.
