Robert Pattinson may be Hollywood’s hottest vampire today, but he is also fast becoming known for his noticeable stench. Is this rumored body scent his way of driving away the media?

According to “Twilight” co-star Peter Facinelli, this is Rob’s way of getting away from the paparazzi, who of course have been following him here and there thanks to his newfound vampire fame.

“He’s smart, because if he doesn’t changes his clothes and the paparazzi get pictures of him in the same outfit all the time, then they can’t sell the pictures,” Facinelli says in an interview with New York Magazine during the Cinema Society screening of “The Twilight Saga: New Moon.”

Facinelli also claims that it was he who gave Rob that kind of advice.

“That’s what I said he should do; I said, ‘You should not change your clothes, this way, how are they going to sell the picture of you in the same outfit all the time, because it will look like it was from the same batch.’”

This anti-paparazzi scheme of Facinelli was as well supported by another co-star, Ashley Greene.

“You know what, I think maybe out of a defense mechanism, I don’t sniff him,” she laughed along.

Director Chris Weitz however says he’s glad whenever he sniffs Rob’s scent.

“I can smell him coming, that’s the nice thing,” he laughed.
