“New Moon: The Twilight Saga,” already served the vicarious thrill of millions of fans around the world, but there seems to be one big star against the vampire flick’s popularity: Miley Cyrus.
The teen sensation more popularly known as “Hannah Montana,” actually considers “Twilight” a “cult,” which shouldn’t have a following.
“I think it’s like (a) cult… I think it’s a cult,” the 17-year old star said on Sirius XM’s “The Morning Mash Up”. “I think it’s bad. I think it’s like, just people get too into it.”
She even sees the “Twilight” obsession to be like the people’s obsession with models in the fashion world.
“For me, I think it’s like when guys look at supermodels and they’re like, ‘That’s the perfect girl,’… That’s what those kind of movies do to us,” she adds. “They’re like thinking that’s what girls should be like and not everyone is going to be Edward, hate to say it.”
Miley might not be fond of vampires, but she is a big fan of pirates-particularly of Captain Jack Sparrow, or Johnny Depp. The actor, famous for his lead role in “The Pirates of the Caribbean” franchise, was recently named once again as the “Sexiest Man Alive” by People magazine.
“Johnny Depp is way hotter than Robert Pattinson, for sure,” Miley says.
