Levi Johnston’s controversial move to pose on Playgirl has been criticized for the past few weeks. Now with more photos revealed early Saturday morning, the haters may just have nothing to hate about as the father of Sarah Palin’s grandson kept his poses PG13.

On the photos released, the 19-year-old Alaskan showed plenty of skin, but no Johnston. Apparently, Levi Johnston’s Playgirl photos were a whole lot of hype for nothing. The poses included strategically placed towels and hands as well as discreet camera angles. But you’d get to see some shower shots and shots of Levi’s ass, abs and legs.

The hockey hunk’s decision was apparently more self-preservation than self-consciousness. According to Playgirl spokesperson Daniel Nardicio, “He didn’t chicken out – I think he probably decided as the media grew around not to do it. It was probably long-term a wise decision, if he’s going to go for custody.”

Palin told Oprah Winfrey it was “kind of heartbreaking” that Johnston was posing for the skin mag, calling it pornographic. Palin added, “I don’t know if we call him Levi, I hear he goes by the name Ricky Hollywood now.” However, Johnston isn’t backing up from the public feud, saying Palin was “full of it.”

Unfortunately for Palin, there’s more photos where the nude ones came from. Nardicio says the magazine owns about 200 usable prints from the two-day photo shoot and more photos of Johnston will be released on a weekly basis on Playgirl.com until the issue hits stands on January 2010.
