t is always amazing how when someone like a gay guy finally sustains himself through years of possible verbal and physical abuse in school, and maybe from family members:

Also getting through the identity crisis of adolescence. Trying to fit in when you are not sure whether or not to conform to dating a girl; and getting emotional and breaking her heart or being totally alone, or maybe even losing most of your friends to coming out of the closet prematurely.

Let’s not even talk about the high suicide rate among gay, bi and transgendered individuals, so if you make it through all of that and by the grace of the creator avoid the sea of sexually transmitted diseases that could end your life early to actually become someone; when all of your life the world is telling you that you are nothing that is nothing less of a miracle.

So what about the children then, why is it now we care so much about all of these children, what about the millions dying from AIDS that stars like Madonna are just now coming to save, or the 300,000 abused in foster care each year, or all of the video games, and avatars and violence on t.v. or adult websites that any child can punch in a birth-date and watch things that as an adult I would shy away from as Janet says….what about that…what about that…what about that…

What about all of the sexually molested children from predators on the Internet that go free even after they are caught on national t.v., or kids molested by their own parents, or children who are kidnapped in AMERICA and held as sex slaves by the less than 1% of the population that make over six figures…

We have way more issues for “the children” to address than that of Adam Lambert in a three piece suite gyrating to some under-produced karaoke track…

If we want to truly help the children let’s address the children not your contempt for who may not look, dress or even smell like you or me.

i think that it was very drastic and he doesnt really understand how important fans are not that he should hide who he is but that now that everyone (not just the people who watch ai) is watching him and we all warmed up to him but many people havent. not my fave song of his rither but….come on….the guy has some nerve to do that. he is SO comfortable with himself i think that is really amazing im really sad that people were exposed to him in this way that may taint their views of him forever but if any of them are reading this right now….HES ACTUALLY A REALLY REALLY WONDERFUL GUY. it may appear that he is “racy” innapropriate” whatever but i hope that you dont judge him so much and realize that he actually has an incredible amount of talent to offer

liked it , yes it was wrong to pull a guys face in your crotch but if britney did it it would be ok guys like girl on girl so whats the diffrence . it was wrong though but that dont change that im a huge Adam Lambert fan and as soon as his cd comes out in my wal-mart store i am buying it and will always like adam no matter what he does thats just adam . and everyone that your kids was up it was a school night they should of been in bed thats your prolbem not adams

I am open minded and so I have attended a fetish club because I do find that sexy to watch…… but the important point to be made here is that as a free adult I CHOSE to attend and see that kind of “ENTERTAINMENT”. However, I did not enjoy Adam’s AMA performance at all – mainly because it was forced on a public (and also upon open-minded me) who were expecting SEXY ARTFUL SINGING, not just RAW SCREAMING SEX! Just as Simon would say “You chose the wrong song” – in this case Adam, “You Chose the wrong VENUE”! I probably would have enjoyed that performance if I chose to go see it in a Fetish Club setting where I would expect to see such things by choice. But definitely not on the AMAs when you KNOW kids are going to be watching to the end to see if Taylor Swift wins Artist of the Year (Way to go Sweetie – a truly class act who is so sexy in her innocence and graciousness to her fans). Another disappointment was that the song just plain sucked! I definitely won’t be humming that one tomrrow. The tune was very boring with a repetitive beat and lame lyrics that did not express any kind of human emotion that would warrant and invoke that sort of screaming delivery, so it was waaaay oversung. I was an Adam fan and would fast forward my TIVO through every week’s episode of American Idol to see his performances. And he was especially brilliant in the final with Kiss and Queen. But sadly, now I wonder if I will be able to remain a fan. I will not buy this CD if this was the best song on it, but will await a redemption and a return to the brilliance he is capable of (with better song writers of course). Another dissapointment during the entire evening was all the interruptions with no sound when most songs had to be censored repeatedly due to content. Artists should smarten up and chose what songs should be performed on TV so the lyrics and music would not have to be interrupted so much! The music industry has to give their head a shake as half of the other performances were not enjoyable to me either, even though I am fully open-minded about things like this.

If you look back at most of last night’s performances at the AMA’s (not all…but most), they contained sexual inuendos in the costuming, staging, dancing, bleeped out lyrics, etc. Adam was just the finale, and what would he have to do to top it all off? Of course some would be shocked and appauled at his performance, and some would just admit that using the sexual angle seems to be the only way we think we can sell something these days. Free speech and artistic expression are truly wonderful concepts, but with these freedoms hopefully comes some sense of responsiblity. Michael Jackson said “I’m starting with the man in the mirror; I’m asking him to change his ways…”.

I was there 2nd row at the AMAs and Adams performance to me was like watching a bad Liza Minnelli impersonator to a Meatloaf song but worse. The howling and screaming was awful in person and really? So what if your gay!! Welcome to real Hollyweird….and guess what Adam; were not there for entertainment you failed miserably…sorry!!

I loved Adam’s performance. I never know what he is gonna do, and I love that! His concert performances are amazing. He is turning out to be one of the greatest entertainers of this generation.
