Bill Douglas, a 53-year-old driver of one of Cyrus’ buses, was killed in a crash Friday morning.
Miley Cyrus issued a statement on behalf of her family Friday afternoon about the death of Bill Douglas, saying “We are deeply saddened by the loss of Bill ‘Uncle Bill’ Douglas. Members of our tour are like members of our family. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family in the midst of this tragedy. He will truly be missed.”
According to Virginia police, officials are now investigating the crash that occurred on Interstate 85 in Dinwiddle County that took the life of Douglas, who was driving one of the four tour buses of Cyrus’ entourage.
