Supermodel Cindy Crawford and her husband Rande Gerber are apparently victims of an extortion case, as a German man tried to rip off $100,000 in order not to release a photograph of their daughter tied and gagged to a chair.

Authorities identified 26-year old Edis Kayalar, as the man behind the said extortion case. He has not yet been arrested and has been deported to Germany. The couple has already charged him with extortion and is expected to face up to two years in jail if found guilty of the charges.

The alleged photo shows Crawford’s then 7-year old daughter tied to a chair and gagged by her nanny. According to court records, her daughter said that the photo was part of the cops-and-robbers game they were playing at that time.

Kayalar apparently stole the photo from the girl’s nanny and tried to extort money from Crawford and her husband since July of this year.
