More than a decade ago, Jennifer Aniston became a household name not because of her looks or her acting ability in the TV sitcom ‘Friends,’ but because of her layered long bob hairstyle which became highly in demand in salons all over the world. And that phenomenon has taken place once again-this time with ‘Gossip Girl’ star Blake Lively.

The blonde 22-year old was flattered yet at the same time surprised upon learning that her hairstyle at the glam TV series has grown into a trend in the world of hair fashion. According to salon owners, female clients ask to have messed up locks and a little bit of volume.

“It’s crazy,” she says upon learning about her hair sensation brought about by The New York Times. “It’s kind of weird reading that because, you know, here I was when I was a kid wanting my hair to look like Jennifer Aniston’s.”

But how did she actually come up with such hairstyle?

“The way I do my hair in the morning, when I go to the set of ‘Gossip Girl,’ I just put my hair in a bun dry it and just twist it up in a ballerina bun, do my makeup, take it out and then it’s wavy.”

“I like my hair to look not too done,” she describes her own mane. “I think it looks pretty if it looks like maybe it was curled the day before and then you wake up and it’s just like the sexy, messy look.”
