DJ AM’s Estate Sues Learjet and Charter Company for His Untimely Death

The estate of the late DJ AM (Adam Goldstein in real life), filed charges against Learjet and the charter company for the musician’s wrongful death.

Back in September 2008, the charter plane where Goldstein and Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker crashed. The accident killed four passengers, while he and Barker were the only ones who survived.

“The crash ultimately caused Adam Goldstein’s death,” says the lawsuit.

Goldstein was found dead in his apartment in August 28, 2009; postmortem examinations state that the 36-year old disc jock overdosed on cocaine and prescription drugs.

During his early 20s, Goldstein suffered from drug addiction but underwent rehab; he however fell into taking prescription drugs in order to reduce the pain and trauma brought by the accident last year.

Among the names involved in the lawsuit include Clay Lacy Aviation, Goodyear Tire, and Learjet.
