Britney Gets Defense from John Mayer

Britney Spears' "Circus"

The issue about Britney Spears getting upset over the Australian government’s review of her lip-synching performance is all over the headlines, and while further debates suggest her concert tickets to note that some parts of the show are pre-recorded, fellow singer John Mayer rushes to the pop star’s side and defends her against the controversy.

“If you’re shocked that Britney was lip-synching at her concert and want your money back, life may continue to be hard for you,” says John via Twitter. For him, who’s been an experienced entertainer as well, lip-synching isn’t too much of a big deal.

Britney’s tour promoter Paul Dainty meanwhile continues to trash out all reports of fans storming out of the Perth performances.

“It’s the biggest lie I’ve ever heard,” he said on The Australian. “I’m so angry. We can take heat if there’s something wrong and people can review shows badly-that’s something you have to live with-but to say people stormed out of the show was an absolute fabrication.” Dainty also said that the 27-year old singer knows about the false allegations and is “upset”.

Meanwhile, Victoria Judge, the New South Wales’ Minister for Fair Trading is firm in considering measures to ensure Aussie fans that they will get what they paid for in Britney’s concert.

“It is Britney’s ‘prerogative’ to lip-sync, and it is my job to make sure consumers know what they are paying for up front.” She said.
