Britney Spears is “Upset” over Negative “Circus” Review

Britney Spears "Circus Tour"

Canberra, Australia- Britney and the gang had already kicked off their Australian tour, and apparently the entertainer felt “upset” and “traumatized” by how the Australian media reviewed her first night of performance.

According to reports, fans and audiences left in the middle of the show’s run because of a lackluster performance, extreme lip-synching, and boring, lack of audience interaction.

“Britney is aware of all of this and she’s extremely upset by it,” says her tour promoter, Paul Dainty.

“She’s a human being. I’m embarrassed, with such a big international entourage here with Britney, to be part of the Australian media when I see that kind of totally inaccurate reporting.”

Dainty defended the U.S. pop star by saying that the reports of fans walking out of the concert after her third song are not true. He also suggested that it’s not fair to detail such negative critic on the singer who was able to bring back her career after suffering from a big slump during the recent years.

Britney, now 27, had faced several personal mishaps back in the past, including a bad divorce, losing custody of her kids, excessive partying, shaving her head and forgetting to wear her undies.

To further spark the debate on whether she should continue her tour in the land down under, Victoria Judge, Fair Trade Minister of New South Wales, said that Australians would not permit a “Mickey Mouse” show coming from Britney, and suggested that the tickets, which cost between $200 and $1,500, should state if there are parts of the concert that have been mimed or pre-recorded.

Regarding her lip-synching, Dainty says that “it’s been all over the internet for nine months. The show is an incredible spectacle, which it is.

Meanwhile, the management of the Burswood Dome in Perth, the site where Britney’s first show was held, said that no negative reviews or complaints have surfaced from the 17,000 people who attended the concert. A crowd of the same number also arrived in her following show.

But what did her Aussie fans say about her Perth show?

Via Twitter, they said: amazing, awesome, and brilliant.
