Los Angeles, CA.- Miley Cyrus will sure be channeling Jay-Z in her top-selling single “Party in the USA,” but the young star says she’s never heard a song from the master rapper-until now.

“I’ve never heard a Jay-Z song,” she says in a video found in her official website.

This is because it wasn’t Miley who created her current hit, unlike her previous chart-topping songs.

“I don’t know, I didn’t write the song- I picked that song because I needed something to go with my clothing line. It turned out for the best. It was really unexpected.”

Apparently the ‘Hannah Montana’ star chose the song to go with her tie-up with Wal-Mart and designer Max Azaria for her new line of clothing apparel.

According to the tween queen, the pop hit set the change from her traditional country style.

“I don’t listen to pop music, that’s not my style of music,” Miley describes the track. “I’m really blessed for it to have done as well as it has.”

Indeed she has covered a Jay-Z song, but what about doing her own rendition of “Achy Breaky Heart,” which is her father’s hit single back then?

“That’s like covering a Jay-Z song,” she responds.
