One of the most dangerous drawbacks of being a star is being stalked at, and a lot of celebs have already had stalking issues done by their obsessed fans. ‘American Idol’ host Ryan Seacrest got the same scare last week, and now he’s filing charges against an alleged stalker who showed up in a studio last Friday carrying a knife.

Chidi Benjamin Uzomah Jr., 25, is charged with two counts of misdemeanour after attempting to violate a court order on October 2 and October 30, says Deputy District Attorney Wendy Segall with the Stalking and Threat Assessment Team of the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office in a released statement.

Uzomah was arrested last Friday at the E! studios, where Seacrest works for his television show. On the same day he filed and was granted a temporary restraining order against the man. Uzomah is the same man looking for Seacrest at the KIIS FM studio in October 2.

Last September, the stalker pleaded guilty to three misdemeanours, all involving Seacrest. He was then sentenced to 15 days in jail and three years probation. He was also ordered to stay away from the TV host.

Uzomah will be facing up to four years in state prison if convicted guilty of the charges.
