Over the past week we have witnessed Jon Gosselin split up with girlfriend Hailey Glassman, and while he has found a spiritual advisor to help him out, estranged wife Kate meanwhile is busy for the new NBC special “Her Story.”

Kate says in a chat with Natalie Morales of NBC News that her circle of friends is getting smaller and smaller each day.

“I trust a very, very small group of people,” she reveals. “You almost can’t blame me. When you look around and very close trusted people who would never cash you in, for lack of better words, and those people do that and people leave your house and tell completely different stories, you tend not to trust people.”

The mom of eight also finds it difficult to make the right choices, and even stays awake in the middle of the night thinking if her decisions are right.

Jon, on the other hand, has just finished a pseudo therapy session with Rabbi Shmuley, his new spiritual advisor. And afterwards, he reveals that he wants to speak with his wife-this time in private.

“I’ve done it a number of times in a public setting, but I haven’t had the opportunity to do so in private,” he said, this time in a sensible manner. “I’ll apologize to her for openly having relationships in the public eye-that was a huge mistake. If she had done that to me, I would have been pissed. Looking back on it, it seems like a knife in the back.”
