Los Angeles, CA. - King of Pop Michael Jackson may be dead but his magic continues to live-even on the big screen with “This Is It” finishing first at the Halloween box office weekend.
Jackson’s behind-the-scenes performance footages debuted at $21.3 million during its opening day last October 28, and now have raised a total of $101 million five days after its 2-week worldwide release, making it the “thriller” movie of the year.
“This Is It” was followed by the low-budget horror flick “Paranormal Activity” with $16.5 million during its second week, now having a total of $84.8 million.
Jackson’s “This Is It” is a series of his rehearsals in preparation for his supposed string of 50 concerts at the London’s O2 Arena that was to start in July. The music legend however passed away in June 25 due to a sudden cardiac arrest.
