Josh Duhamel is shooting down rumors that he cheated on his pop diva wife Fergie earlier this month with a stripper.

In an interview with The National Enquirer, Nicole Forrester says she and the 36-year-old Transformers star enjoyed a sex romp in an Atlanta hotel room while he was in the area shooting “Life As We Know It,” a comedy costarring Katherine Heigl, Christina Hendricks and Josh Lucas.

However, Duhamel’s camp insists that the story is bogus. Duhamel’s rep said in a statement, “This is not the first nor will it be the last time that a stripper was paid a large amount of money to sell a false story about a celebrity. This story is absolutely ridiculous.”

Forrester, known by people as “Delilah” when working at a nude club called Tattletales Lounge, claimed Duhamel introduced himself as J.D. and said he was in town making a porn movie.

Earlier today, E! News was contacted by a rep for an Atlanta-area attorney who claimed he was representing a stripper who was interested in “compensation” for details about an alleged hotel tryst she had with Duhamel. The e-mail reads, “Our client has taken a polygraph regarding this incident and passed.”

Fergie and Duhamel married in January 2009.
