Chris Brown’s much-awaited ballad “Crawl” has just landed on the Internet, just a day after his ex-girlfriend Rihanna released her single “Russian Roulette.” The song also seemed to be addressing Brown’s situation with Rihanna.
“Crawl” is slated to be Brown’s second single from his forthcoming album “Graffiti.” Brown recently tweeted that the song would be premiering on Wednesday (October 21) and the accompanying video would feature Bad Boy artist Cassie in the clip. His album’s first single “I Can Transform Ya” featured Lil Wayne and remains #52 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
The new single ‘Crawl’ features lyrics about a relationship that has slipped out of Brown’s hands, so it can easily be thought that the song is about his situation with Rihanna. The two r&b stars briefly reunited after their much-publicized February incident, following ongoing court hearings. According to reports, after the stay-away order against Brown was given, the pair eventually split.
Brown sings with lyrics such as:
“Everybody see it’s you/ well, I never want to lose that view.”
“Everybody says we’re through/ I hope you haven’t said it, too.”
“So we’ll crawl, until we can walk again…”
“Then we’ll run, until we’re strong enough to jump/ Then we’ll fly, until there is no wind/ So let’s crawl, crawl, crawl, back to love.”
