Lohan was reprimanded for missing her court-ordered alcohol education classes and leaving town without asking permission.

Lohan attended a court hearing for a progressive review on her two DUI cases. Lindsay didn’t do herself any good by showing up an hour late to a probation hearing in Beverly Hills. Judge Marsha N Revel asked for an explanation why she had been getting notices that Lindsay might be violating her probation terms. After her lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley explained why Lindsay failed to completed the required classes, the judge gave her another year of alcohol education classes.

Holley explained that there had been a miscommunication when Lindsay failed to notify her instructors at an alcohol management class that she would return to complete the class after completing work outside the United States. However, Revel told the lawyer that Lohan should always obtain court approval before leaving Los Angeles for work. The judge also warned that any failure to comply with the conditions of her probation could lead to jail time in the future.

Revel told Lohan, “I ordered you into court today because I wanted to speak to you directly. I don’t want to get any more notices again, no warrants … where you’re thumbing your nose at the court. I’m rooting for you to successfully complete probation.”

The judge added that Lindsay can’t just go out of town that easy. “This is the last time we will be talking about re-enrolling. Anytime you request a leave of absence for more than 21 days, you must get court approval. If you don’t do that, the deputy district attorney will be asking for jail time.”

A December 15 date was set for a progress hearing.
