Actress Elizabeth Taylor revealed to her fans via Twitter that she’s about to undergo heart surgery.
The 77-year-old actress has announced her medical health issues via Twitter saying the procedure involved “repairing my leaky valve using a clip device, without open heart surgery, so that my heart will function better.” She also added she wanted to announce it herself, before it gets in the papers.
Taylor, who was made an honorary dame by the Queen in 2000, has been through several health problems recently. In 1995, she had a hip replacement, followed by a surgery to remove a brain tumor in 1997. She has also broken her back five times and reportedly has osteoporosis.
She added, “Any prayers you happen to have lying around I would dearly appreciate. I’ll let you know when it’s all over. Love you, Elizabeth.”
