Katherine Jackson has been trying to contest her son’s will since the Jackson discovered there was a will, but she’s been concerned she could lose her job as beneficiary is she did challenge the estate administrators. Now, Katherine’s wish has been granted – along with her monthly collections.
A probate judge determined earlier today that Michael Jackson’s mom can challenge the administrators of his estate without losing her beneficiary status, a consequence listed on MJ’s will if ever any of the beneficiaries challenged his will. However, the judge has said that it’s OK as long as Katherine doesn’t question the message. She can also petition the court about the possibility of “undue influence” when it came to appointing Michael’s administrators. Apparently, this kind of objection is not “deemed as a contest” against the will itself.
Since Katherine has inherited 40% in Michael’s estate, which has been estimated to be worth $500 million, she’s been collecting $26,000 a month, plus another $60,000 for the care of her three grandchildren.
