2009 isn’t Jessica Simpson’s year. After dealing with criticisms about her weight and being dumped by Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo in July, Simpson is now dealing with her dog Daisy missing.

Simpson twitted on Monday night that her dog was snatched by a coyote right in front of her. She said, “My heart is broken because a coyote took my precious Daisy right in front of our eyes. HORROR! We are searching. Hoping. Please help!”

Fans and fellow dog lovers have been searching for Daisy in her LA neighborhood. Neighbors of Simpson reportedly heard yelling and screaming around 9pm at Jessica’s house. The neighbor said, “I can only imagine that it was that moment that it happened because the next day we saw posters up around the neighborhood announcing that Jessica had lost her dog to a coyote. It’s so sad.”

Daisy was a gift from her ex-husband Nick Lachey several years ago.
